Mr Maxim Dalton says he has been illustrating since he was 2 or 3 yrs old, which we found a cute way to put it. He also speaks five languages and lives in Barcelona.

Sketched - Mel Robson

Mel Robson

This ceramic artist is based in Brisbane Australia, and she is obsessed with road maps, recipes, sewing patterns and handwriting. Even without her work, we like like the sound of her already.

Sketched - Sandra Juto

Sandra Juto

Sandra Juto we have had our eye on for some time, as she's quite the blogger and a dab hand at illustration and mixed media.

Based in Gothenburg Sweden, she introduced us to the concept of 'fika' which means to go out for a coffee, accompanied generally by a sweet treat. Which really only justifies our ordering cake with our coffee as we feel 'European'.

Sketched - Thomas Campbell

Thomas Campbell

A self taught artist is Thomas Campbell. Not that he's a major fan of the term, preferring to say 'I just made stuff'. Really really cool stuff that is. He's put his hand to sculpture, painting, photography and film and has excelled at each.

Sketched - Sarah Applebaum

Sarah Applebaum

Sarah seems to have hit the scene about 2004 with a few exhibitions and hasn't stopped since. She works with a range of techniques, including sculpture, painting, knitting, chrochet.

Her studio looks pretty cool, although we wonder how you can handle so much colour all day long...nonetheless, we think her work is fabulous.

Letterpress Prints

Wilkintie's online store has whimsical prints for letterpress fans, featuring artists including Merjin Hos, Chamo, and Joe McLaren.

Wilkintie is a project by Carly hargreaves and Niels Oeltjen. Both based in Australia's Melbourne it was their love of letterpress and illustration that brought about Wilkintie. Niels work can also be seen here

Neils Oeltjen is one busy boy. He is known for his street art, collaborating with various artists and has exhibited in many a solo and group exhibit.

He has with his wife, a letterpress co Wilkintie, and is involved in street art projects such as Mays clothing, publishing and mural projects. His grassroots approach appears to see him living and breathing what he does.
