Embroidery seems to be becoming a lost art. And I'm not helping that by buying lots of cute french embroidery books, spending a whole lot of money buying expensive threads and textiles, only to never embroider.

When we first saw these on the Crafty Minx (http://thecraftyminx.com.au), we nearly had a fit.

Stitched by artist Kate Jenkins, her philosophy is that anything can be creatd with yarn as long as it's made with love. Awwww.

German artist Horst Glasker does some pretty spectacular things with acrylic paint.

These instillations titled 'Art in Architecture' are some of our favourites, but the sculpture is pretty wild too.

Eleanor is just a graduate student, but we're going to give her a rap on the wrist, as her website isn't completed. When your work is this cute and circulating around online, an artist has to get their portfolio together dammit.

Sketched - Sarah Applebaum

Sarah Applebaum

Sarah seems to have hit the scene about 2004 with a few exhibitions and hasn't stopped since. She works with a range of techniques, including sculpture, painting, knitting, chrochet.

Her studio looks pretty cool, although we wonder how you can handle so much colour all day long...nonetheless, we think her work is fabulous.
