Sketched - Mel Robson

Mel Robson

This ceramic artist is based in Brisbane Australia, and she is obsessed with road maps, recipes, sewing patterns and handwriting. Even without her work, we like like the sound of her already.

Sketched - Sarah Applebaum

Sarah Applebaum

Sarah seems to have hit the scene about 2004 with a few exhibitions and hasn't stopped since. She works with a range of techniques, including sculpture, painting, knitting, chrochet.

Her studio looks pretty cool, although we wonder how you can handle so much colour all day long...nonetheless, we think her work is fabulous.

Anna Wili Highfield

Anna Wili Highfield
Anna Wili Highfield is a genuis with paper. She's been working on a range of commissions including owls, pigeons, a kookaburra, small birds such a Fantail and a Jacky Winter, a Brahiminy Kite eagle and magpies and seagulls...our favourite is that goddamn cute tiny turtle.

To construct these little beauties, Anna Wili only uses thread and a needle - no glues, no staples and no tape. Amazing.
