This handmade origami sea urchin was folded from 48 units of book paper, that are assembled into two pieces of 24 pages, then joined to form one sculpture.

Born in 1978, Japanese born artist Yuko Nishimura specialises in the art of folding. Her background in architectural design is clear with her clean, crisp pieces, that she says have "a particular charm occurs in the simplicity with which the expression appears having never been touched by any tool"
